The New Career Platform is set up by GNBCC and SustainableMotion, as a spin-off of the New Business Challenge. On this page you read more about this platform, the challenge and our partners.
About the New Career Platform
The New Career Platform (NPC) is a dedicated place to inform young talents about starting a professional career in Ghana. The aim of the platform is to bridge the gap between recent graduates and the career ahead of them. Especially the first steps into your professional career can be terrifying and exciting, which some guidance can come in handy. This is what the New Career Platform is all about.
The New Career Platform is maintained by the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC), which focuses on stimulating trade between Ghana and the Netherlands. GNBCC has over 115 members from various sectors and is still growing. This makes GNBCC one of the biggest bilateral chambers of commerce in Ghana.

How it started
The New Career Platform is a spin-off of the New Business Challenge (NBC). This challenge is a unique business case competition where 20 Dutch and 20 Ghanaian students and young professionals work together in mixed teams on business cases from 5 companies. This challenge is all about discovering new sustainable business opportunities for the private sector and maximizing the entrepreneurial potential of the participants. The NBC has taken place from 2019 and will also take place in 2020 and 2021. The concept of the NBC is developed by SustainableMotion and is executed together with the GNBCC. The NBC is commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Accra and the RvO (the Netherlands Enterprise Agency).
Several partners work together to make the New Career Platform possible. Read more about this team effort here and how to get in touch with those organisations.
